Immigration and Arrival Tips

Mainly these issues apply to our Photographers. Most Importantly you are allowed 2 cameras. A disposable camera, a go pro style cam or two $10,000 dollar cameras…  Phones are separate and your allowed 3. Lenses are not an issue at all.  Lights and Drones are a different beast. You are allowed to bring the value of $500 for these units.  If you get the red light they will inspect all your goods. They will ask the value of your drone and or lights. You will be charged 19 percent of the value over 500 dollars. Payment is by credit card only. They have the ability to look up values and if your worried a homemade receipt of value might just help. The person that runs the aduana (immigration) has been super helpful but the rules are hard to be broken. If you have an issue, stay calm and ask to speak to the head of the aduana. He will do his best to ease the situation. His name is is Alejandro Cavazos. Kindly tell him you are with GLAM JAM MEXICO

After getting your bags and showing all paperwork , put your passport and the immigration paper that you will need to depart away so they don’t get lost.

You’ll next get to the shark tank. These are timeshare salesman. Ignore all! Say nothing! Just smile!

Brad will be waiting for you outside at The Corona Bar. It is located outside and in the right corner of the airport . It’s Important to find him. look for a hat with a “M” on it. We will be staging there and then loading into vans to our event location. Cost is 20 usd each. The event location is approx one hour drive from the airport.

The ATMs in the airport have a bad rate and often eat cards. Avoid using them.
